Working with clay is like a time travel to my childhood. I love the smoothness of the material, working with both my hands at the same time, using fingers as tools and getting my hands dirty. The potter's wheel is not my cup of tea. I like asymmetrical objects and creating things that one can see are unique and hand-made.
Working with clay is dirty and glass demands a dust-free environment, so I do not work or fire ceramics in my studio. Instead I use ceramic studios for that purpose, which means that I do not have the same control of firing temperatures as I have when creating my glass objects.
