Drawing for an artist is like playing scales for a pianist, it is a process that should be executed every day. Unfortunately I do not live up to that expectation... but drawing is fun, needs full concentration and is excellent mood-booster, a little bit like cooking without exact recipes.
I use some of my drawings as inspiration to my paintings. I like to observe and draw changes in my model with each day. For instance, if I am drawing tulips I like seeing how they open, are in full bloom and then get old and lose petals with elegance and beauty.
